Apprentices and trainees payment

The ACT Government will continue to support ACT apprentices and trainees with cost of living
across 2025-26.

Eligible apprentices and trainees will receive a $250 payment. First-year apprentices and trainees will receive an additional $250 to help you cover the cost of tools and equipment.

How to apply

You must submit your application by Sunday 21 June 2026.

To apply, you need to complete the following application form and provide your:

• name (as recorded on your training contract)
• date of birth
• contact phone number (mobile)
• qualification name (name of the course/training you’re taking)
• bank details for payment.

After you submit the form, you should receive payment within 4 weeks.
