Rates Assistance (Pensioner) Application Form

If you're a property owner who receives a Commonwealth Government pension (Centrelink) with entitlement to a Pension Concession Card or Department of Veterans' Affairs pension you may be eligible for the pensioner rates rebate and deferral.

If the property is not your principal place of residence you are not eligible for the pensioner rates rebate or deferral.

Simple interest is calculated on rates deferrals. If you elect to defer future year's rates, all future rates (less your rebate entitlement) will be automatically deferred. You can stop the deferral at any time by requesting in writing to cease the rates deferral.

  • by submitting this form I/we authorise the ACT Revenue Office to use Centrelink eServices to confirm my/our Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs details and status.
  • I/we authorise the ACT Revenue Office to verify the details provided in this application.
  • The property mentioned in this application is my/our principal place of residence and I/we will advise the ACT Revenue Office when the property is no longer my/our principal place of residence or if I am/we are no longer eligible pensioner(s).
  • I/we acknowledge that under section 338 of the Criminal Code 2002, giving false or misleading information is a serious offence and I will notify the Commissioner for ACT Revenue in writing and provide full details if there is a change in my/our circumstances during the financial year. This includes a change of address and contact details.
