Rates deferral COVID-19 hardship application form

As part of the ACT Government COVID-19 Economic Survival Package the ACT Government is offering a deferral of rates payments to families experiencing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This deferral is available for 1 year from the date of application and includes current charges and any arrears, no interest will be charged during the deferral period.

You may apply for a deferral of rates only if the property is your principal place of residence.

Household income includes the combined income of you and your partner. A partner includes your spouse, civil union partner or de facto partner.

Has your total household income been reduced by at least 25 per cent as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic? *
You have indicated that your household income has not been reduced by at least 25 per cent, you are not eligible for a deferral of rates.

At the time of application, is your total household income below $6,100 per fortnight? *
You have indicated that your total fortnightly household income is above $6,100 you are not eligible for a deferral of rates.
